Mao-Tzû or the Chinese "小瓜帽"

In Chinese the skullcap is normally called 瓜皮帽  -  Guā Pí Mào
瓜 means melon
皮 means skin
帽 means cap
> Cap made of the skin of a (half) melon

"小瓜帽"  -  Mao-Tzû means cap for the priest
[Please remember that the Italian word "zucchetto" for pileolus (soli deo) comes from "zucchetta" which means baby gourd (to cover the big gourd/head).]

Pileolus worn by the dignitaries of ICAB

wearing a red pileolus (soli deo, zucchetto)

Do anybody knows if the clergy of ICAB wear as well grey birettas (same color as their cassocks)?
Your comments are highly appreciated.

The founder, Bishop Dom Carlos Duarte Costa is pictured in a red biretta

The Birety "Made in Częstochowa"

"Częstochowa, Poland is known for the famous Pauline monastery of Jasna Góra, which is the home of the Black Madonna painting, a shrine to the Virgin Mary. Every year, millions of pilgrims from all over the world come to Częstochowa to see it."

The birtey made in Częstochowa for example by Albatus are of a very good quality. Especially the cardboard they are using inside is "ideal", not too stiff and not too supple.

Condition as received from the Polish supplier:
the pompon coated by a polythene sheet

The pompon they use are made of wool, not silk and have, in contrast to the Italian pompons, the size/form of a little bit larger ping-pong ball.

In Częstochowa are as well a lot of clerical shops.
To get an impression, visit the Yellow Pages and have look under "Dewocjonalia".
