Spansih bonete, made out of brwon fabric for a Franciscan
Your are right. Franciscan neither wear a brown biretta nor a bonete. This one was asked from a Franciscan friar in Great Britain. Maybe he will wear it.
Dieter,

DeleteIt was made as a gift for a friend of mine.

From what I understand, the Conventual Franciscans (OFM Conv.) can wear a biretta. Of course, it wouldn't be brown. They wear black or grey.
