Misnafat - Miznefet - Miznephet - Mitsnephet - Mitznefet - Miznäfät
The Misnafat is (according 2. Moses 39,28) the headgear of the High Priest (Kohen Gadol).
Today it is only worn seldom by the Chief Rabbi.

  1. I am curious where the chief rabbinate gets them? Are they turkish on origin? The robe the chief rabbi wears also looks like a turkish cübbe. Is there a connection?

  2. What is the cultural origin of the mitznefet? Is it turkish in origin. It seems to me that his robe is similar to a Turkish cübbe. Is there a connection?

    1. Maybe it is similar but not 100% identic. I doubt that there is a connection.
